I had to take Friday off and we left Lewis and Clark State Park one day earlier than planned. Our internet connection was so unstable and so unreliable that doing office work was a big challenge. Even having Verizon service now, which was better than the other 2 major carriers, was not a big enough of an improvement. Cannot trust those review sites that tell you that cell service is just fine.

Other than that, we really liked the park and would have loved staying much longer. Maybe we will be back for a vacation at some point.

We left Friday morning, going through the bad construction site again, before we left RT 2 and went South on RT 85 heading towards I 94. We left the North Dakota oil fields behind and enjoyed the new scenery of farmland in Eastern Montana.

Hardin was not exactly the most picturesque town in Montana. The neighborhood felt a little run-down. The lady in the office came across as a little bossy. Just the way she is, as we later learned. We got a good site. #3 was close to the street, but also had full shade all day and the WiFi connection was good.

We spent 8 nights here because we had left North Dakota a day early. We worked a lot and were in a good environment to do so. We had shops nearby and a gas station with convenience store right across the street. The town did have some charming areas, actually, as we learned throughout the week. We went to Billings one day for shopping. Overall, the air quality was pretty bad due the to the wild fires in California. And we had strong winds during the night – the strongest winds we had experienced in our trailer so far.
