Cross the country, driving is big part of it. Initially we did 3 days in a weekend, just to get out of population dense areas in eastern of US. Next, we drove two days during the weekend arrived Epping, ND.
Driving is normally a relaxing and enjoyable day for us by now, as long as it is not too long. First when we drove across North Dakota, the scenery changes quite a bit from, east part to middle, to west.
Driving day from Missoula, MT to Arco, ID, along US93 is one of the best so far. Drastic changes from places to places along the way. First in valley, we saw gorgeous mountain west of us, and other mountains on our left. After we got into the mountains, and got into Idaho, we move along rivers and mountains, with some amazing views. Several places we would like to go back to spend our working weeks there to enjoy.
Yesterday driving across Nevada, we experienced something new to us:
- From West Wendover to Benton, CA, we have see so many street road without ending in sight. Initially, we were in awe, and then we got to see it again and again. In 9 hour driving day, we have passed 10+ passes. On the easter side of NV, there are more plants than we thought, not nearly as barren. Beautify scenery!
- When got into CA, the roads are so much better! And there are more Dips than the terrains, and we wonder why?
The good thing is that Joerg enjoy driving. So as soon as we figure out what is travel food that we like, in general we enjoy our driving days.
So far, the location of home changes often. Are we missing being settled? Not yet. The inside of the home stays pretty much the same while the scenery in windows and in part of office changes.
