Lake Livingston / Onalaska KOA
15152 U.S. Highway 190
Onalaska, TX 77360
We stayed here for 2 weeks and really liked this park. Weather is good in November.
Downsides: the bugs are coming out at dusk and the water has two much chlorine.
Picking up mail and packages at our address, for the first time, felt so weird. Aren’t we supposed to know this place? Why does everything look so strange? My parents had sent us German Christmas Cake to our Livingston address!!! The timing worked out perfectly. The Christmas cakes were already waiting for us when we arrived.
The Park was decent. Quiet, with the exception of some road noise. Relatively spacious. Concrete slabs. Some grass. Nice view of the Lake and sunsets. The tap water did not smell or taste good, so we used bottled water for drinking and cooking.
We have proven that we can cook a turkey in our convection microwave! Don’t worry, the microwave part was off 😉.
By the way: not a KOA any longer. While we stayed there they changed.
